The Club’s Beginnings

Received wisdom has it that Royal Yacht Club of Victoria was founded in May 1853 as the Port Phillip Yacht Club. Records show that the Club is undoubtedly Australia’s senior yacht club and as such is steeped in decades of yachting history and tradition.

The Clubs marina is conveniently located close to both the club house and Members car park. It can accommodate over 170 vessels up to 25m in lengthAllberths have access to power and water.

The Royal Yacht Club of Victoria has newly designed and refurbished facilities. The Club has a Members' bar, dining room and an outdoor, undercover deck which joins the club house with a large grass area and BBQ facilities. The dining room can be booked for private functions.
