Helsinki's port is a unitised cargo and passenger port serving Finland's foreign trade. The Port of Helsinki is responsible for port maintenance and provides port services together with port operators.

Helsinki's port has operations in South Harbour, West Harbour and North Harbour. West Harbour is the centre of Finnish container traffic. North Harbour is a roro port and an important port for vehicle import.

The Vuosaari Harbour Centre will be completed at the end of 2008. At that time, cargo traffic operations will be relocated from West Harbour and North Harbour to Vuosaari. Passenger traffic services will stay at South Harbour and West Harbour.
