An Overview of the Institute:

• Ports Training Institute was established, upon the ministerial decree, issued on 25/7/2982, which states that the institute would work under the umbrella of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
• Ports Training Institute is considered one of the most luxurious training institutes on the national level. This position was achieved through the continuous keenness of the institute on developing the educational and training services to comply with the needs and requirements of the companies and authorities working in the ports and maritime transport fields since its establishment in 1982, until it occupied this distinguished position in its cooperation with the international organizations and authorities, such as; United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), International Maritime Organization (IMO), and International Labor Organization (ILO). This has led to the selection of the institute as one of Trinmar, affiliated to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
• The permanent policy of the institute has concentrated on using modern technology to implement the training programs in cooperation with foreign institutes and ports. The institute administration is working on providing all means to achieve this policy in true cooperation and support on behalf of the Egyptian Maritime Transport Sector and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.

Institutes' Activity:

• Training the employees in maritime ports and maritime transport companies of different cadres and technical and administrative levels, in addition to developing their skills to advance their levels to the standard performance levels in the fields of administrating and operating ports and different services, which is provided for vessels and operating equipments in ports, aiming for raising the efficiency of operating ports.
