Port of Halmstad is now connected to Lloyds register - Fairplay. AIS is a shortening for Automatic Identification System. An antenna and receiver has been installed in the port and the equipment communicates with Lloyds Register. The information can be reached by companys who is subscribers of the service.
Halmstad Port and Stevedoring Co has invested in two new cranes. One Mantsinen 140 RHC with a lifting capacity of 15 tons and one Liebherr LHM 400 with a lifting capacity of 100 tons.
This investment is a part of a programme to improve further the Ports service level towards cargo owners, ship owners, agents and forwarders.
