Port of Piteå is strategically placed in northern Gulf of Bothnia and is Sweden’s second largest port in forest products because of the ideal position near the forest industrial area around the coast of the Gulf of Bothnia.
Port of Piteå is situated at Haraholmen, 12 km Southeast of Piteå. The port has an excellent position in the outer archipelago with a entrance channel depth of 12, 5 m. Since the start in 1973, the port has been opened year around.
