Today the Port of Antonina is part of the complex administered by APPA. Located in a strategic point for draining out the production, Antonina helps Paranaguá to enhance the agility and quality of its services with its two terminals: Baron of Teffé and Félix's Tip. The main busy loads in Antonina are frozen goods, fertilizers and iron ore.
The Port Administration of Paranaguá and Antonina (APPA) is a public autarchy created in 1947 by the Government of Paraná. Nowadays, the Autarchy is responsible for managing the ports of Paraná ports by means of the Delegation Agreement number 037/2001, signed on 11th December 2001, between the State of Paraná and the Union. The agreement is valid for 25 years and will be in force until 1st January 2027, its prorogation possible.
Today APPA employs approximately 700 people. Another four thousand independent port workers (IPW), organized in seven class unions, also work in the Paraná ports.
